The Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) has changed the way we build and deliver analytics. It has also changed our approach to managing our analytics investments, including the development lifecycle and the automation of processes ranging from testing to deployments. It’s all in the Cloud now; that should make things easier, right?
With the Oracle Developer Cloud Service (DCS), it can be! DCS is a free cloud service that features issue tracking, code versioning, team collaboration, Agile project management, and continuous integration and delivery. In this presentation, we’ll explore how DCS can manage the entire lifecycle for OAC development. Attendees will see a live demonstration showing how to use DCS to automate testing and deployment for OAC.

How should we approach analytics when the serverless cloud is the only option? Cloud-native data platforms enable developers to build applications quickly. In this session, learn how Red Pill Analytics stitched together data from across the internet using the Google Cloud Platform to tell a social media story for our client Google. Hear how we used BigQuery, App Engine, PubSub, Cloud Functions, and Data Studio to build a complete marketing analytics platform measuring user engagement from sources including Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google Analytics, Google+, and AdWords.
What challenges did we face? What decisions did we make? And how did the Google Cloud Platform enable us to deliver all of this in less than three months? We can only show you the door — you must choose to walk through it.

While relational databases are still the kings of transaction processing systems, they have a hard time keeping up with the increasing demand for real-time analytics. In this session, we will build and demonstrate an end-to-end data processing pipeline. We will discuss how to turn changes from database state into events and stream them into Apache Kafka. We will also explain the basic concepts of streaming transformations using windows and KSQL before ingesting the transformed stream in a dashboard application. Lastly, we will explore the possibilities of adding microservices as subscribers. Live demos will be performed using Apache Kafka and Cloud infrastructure, as well as analytics and visualization services.
